No. 301  Lichtenstein

A few years ago I had the opportunity to visit Amsterdam.  The Moco museum featured an abstract 3D room made from cardboard that had been designed by the pop artist Roy Lichtenstein. The room is based on a painting by the artist which was a reinterpretation of Van Gogh’s famous “The Artist’s Room at Arles”. I love Lichtenstein’s use of bold lines, flat colors and magnified halftone which suggest shadows and light reflections on the flat cardboard of the space bringing it to life.

The inspirational quote for Lichtenstein:

Being happy is the greatest form of success.
