Sustainable Fashion Bloggers

Sustainable Fashion Bloggers

Marketing has certainly changed since I owned my first store back in the 1990's. Today, social media is where it's at and working with 'influencers' is one of the best ways to get your brand noticed.  This summer I have been lucky to have found two Sustainable Fashion Bloggers willing to promote my leggings.  They both have great blogs as well as accounts on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter where they spread the word about slow fashion and socially responsible shopping.

The Sustainable Siren is written by Jennifer who is based in the SF Bay Area. She is passionate about sustainable fashion and inspiring others, especially young adults, to approach life with an environmentally and ethically conscious mindset. She focuses on putting together outfits from clothing that is either organic, recycled, secondhand, vintage, ethically made, fair trade, handmade, made in the USA, DIY, convertible, or that utilize zero-waste design.
Jennifer models Inspire's Long Leggings in the Driftwood - Azure pattern with a top and sneakers that are also sustainable.  See the entire outfit review here

Signe is based in the Chicago area and her blog The Daily Savant features hip sustainable fashion with an urban edge. She refers to herself a Sustainable Lifestyle Blogger who loves to travel.  An ex-ballerina, she has now become an aspiring yogi. Signe writes about eco-friendly  and fair trade products. She has been big on recycling and re-purposing since she was a child and as a teenager created a line of clothes made from t-shirts she purchased at the Salvation Army.  "It just makes sense" she says. I agree!
Signe has posted great photos of herself wearing Inspire's Long Leggings in Cockles- Cerulean. She also choose to wear one of my inspirational quote tank tops which sports the message "Don't wait for a miracle, Be one" See her blog post and more great photos here.

The new website is here!

Hello everyone,

Inspire Active Wear™ online has now gone live!  The website is officially up and running.    Please check everything out - click all links etc.  Let me know if something isn't working.  I'm a textile designer not a website designer and I may have missed something.

I have limited stock at the moment but I do have some leggings ready to ship.  If I don't have it now, delivery will be about 3-4 weeks.  Please be patient.  It will take a few months to really get good stock in everything.  New product featuring my patterns as well as solid tops to coordinate are in the works and should be available by May.

Thank you all for your support and especially to Lindsey Adkison for modeling all my product so beautifully!

XO

Barbara

January 2016

Life in the fashion biz is always a little out of sync with reality.  One minute I'm decorating the house for Christmas and the next I'm photographing the brightly colors scarves of my new Spring/Summer 2016 Collection.  My Fall collection has been very successful  and my scarves are now being sold in retail stores and art galleries in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota and Virginia.

I am very excited to present this new Collection.  The nature-based patterns are rendered in beautifully hued, cheerful colors guaranteed to work with most of the seasons hottest fashions.

In addition to the full line of scarflettes, scarves, shawls and sarongs, a couple of new products have been added.  Dress up your slacks and t-shirts with a loose flowing Sleeved Wrap! Made of the same light cotton/silk fabric as the scarves, they are perfect for taking casual outfits from day to evening. The Sleeved Wraps are one-size-fits-all for maximum versatility and comfort, and are available in every pattern.

The other addition to the Spring 2016 line up will be Inspire Active Wear™ Luxury Leggings. Dressed down for the gym or dressed up for an evening out, leggings have become a popular fashion basic.  They will be offered in all of my Spring 2016 patterns except two.   Most of the leggings will feature the patterned border found on the scarves, along the waistband. I'm still waiting for my final samples but, here is a few photos of the one sample I do have.

My designs will once again be in the Succarra Showroom on the 8th floor of the Apparel Mart building at the Atlanta Gift Show from January 12-19, and at the Atlanta Apparel Show, February 4-8, 2016.  I will be working the show myself you if you can, stop by and say hello.
